Prevent illness. Protect children. Shape the future.
The University of Nottingham has a strong tradition of pioneering work in medicine, diagnostics and community health. Thanks to world-class strengths in chemistry, engineering and pharmacy, Nottingham's medical community finds itself at the junction of some extraordinary inter-disciplinary achievements.
Money raised for the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC) has helped them to continue their vital work, including reducing the diagnosis time for brain tumours in children and discovering genetic markers. Find out more about Children's Brain Tumour Research.
Funding from Impact: The Nottingham Campaign has helped to support the creation of the Improve Dementia Awareness and Education (IDEA) website, which provides high-quality courses and resources. Discover more about our support for people with dementia.
The money from our fundraising week in May 2013 allowed us to open our doors to young carers and young adult carers from across the country, providing taster sessions and advice. Read more about our work with young carers and young adult carers.
The Campaign will continue to build on its heritage to progress diverse research programmes and embed research into clinical practice. This research will build upon our expertise in, for example, children's health, cancer, infection, pain, stroke rehabilitation and dementia.
To promote a wider sense of health and well-being for all our stakeholders, the Campaign will also expand our commitment to animal welfare, recognising the important role of animals in balancing our ecosystems and enriching our lives.
