About the Institute

The Institute for the Study of Slavery (ISOS) aims to stimulate cross-cultural and comparative work on slavery, develop collaborative projects inside and outside Nottingham and attract and train postgraduate students. To this end it organises seminars, workshops and an bi-annual international conference.
