There are two methods for software to be delivered to your desktop, the Software Library and UoN Applications.
All available software can be found in the Software library. You can use the A-Z listing or search box to locate specific software.
Each package contains additional information including a user guide, training and availability.
Open the Software library (log in required)
UoN Applications uses virtualisation technology to allow you to run software on your Windows machine without the need for installation.
To access UoN Applications on an office PC or a PC in a computer room:
- Click Start
- Select All Programs
- Select UoN Applications
- Choose the appropriate school, faculty or subject to find your desired application.
You can use the Start search facility to find software in UoN Applications.
Mac and Linux users will need to install software from the Software library (log in required).
If the software you are requesting is an application with a specific license requirement, then a request should be sent to your local Campus IT support team.
How do I make software available for students?
If students need access to software that is currently not available through UoN Applications or the Software library please request it by contacting the IT Service Desk.
The IT Service Desk can make additions/changes or remove software from UoN Applications and action updates to software information in the Software library.
