Professor Peter Cartwright Speaks at EU Workshop on Consumer Over-Indebtedness

Peter Cartwright, Professor of Consumer Protection Law in the School of Law, spoke at an EU Workshop on Over-indebtedness on 10th October. The workshop was part of a major two-year research project funded by the Civil Justice Programme of the European Union titled 'Consumer Over-Indebtedness, Responsible Lending and the Insolvency of Natural Persons.'

Peter's talk was on the application of the Taxonomy of Vulnerability he has developed to consumer finance policy. Other speakers included Joanna Elson, Chief Executive of the Money Advice Trust, Sue Lewis, Chair of the Financial Services Consumer Panel and Mick McAteer, Director of the Financial Inclusion Centre and Non-Executive Director of the Financial Conduct Authority.
