Mooters win Rajah and Tann Mooting Competition 2015!

Congratulations go out to four mooters from the School of Law, who have won the Rajah & Tann Cambridge Mooting Competition 2015!

Students Alya Mark, Chaim Yunxin, Kelvin Tjakra and Rajvinder Chahal travelled to Cambridge to take part in the two-day competition, where they had to take the role of both appellants and respondents in a complicated moot problem based on contract law. After a number of moots, they managed to beat the eight other teams and win the competition!

Richard Hyde, Assistant Professor in the School of Law said: “We should be really proud of the four mooters. They have done fantastically well to win this prestigious competition and have demonstrated the strength in mooting at the University of Nottingham.”

The competition was sponsored by leading Singaporean law firm Rajah and Tann, and was open to Singaporean students. The Nottingham entry was co-organised by the University of Nottingham Mooting Society and the University of Nottingham Singaporean Society.
