Libraries summer support

It’s the end of exams! Now you can relax, take a sigh of relief, and enjoy the summer. Whether you’re headed home, jetting off on holiday or staying on campus to study we're here to support you.

Off-campus resources and spaces

If you’re away from campus this summer these resources might help:

  • Library Access - a browser extension for easy access to online resources.
  • Digital scan requests - for copies of printed materials (within copyright restrictions).
  • Postal loans - if you want a physical copy we can send it directly to you if you meet the eligibility criteria.
  • SCONUL Access - if you need somewhere to study closer to home you can sign up to use other university libraries across the country.

Returning books

Don’t forget to return any books to any of our libraries before you leave. You can return books by post, via our 24/7 book boxes outside libraries or through our self-service machines. If you’re taking books with you, check your email regularly to see if these have been requested and are due for return.

Opening times

Our libraries will stay open throughout the summer to support those working on assessments over the break. We’ll be in Vacation opening hours from Friday 16 June. Check the Libraries website for the opening times for your preferred library.

Our staff are here to help. Get in touch by phone, email, social media or live chat.
