The University of Nottingham and University of Birmingham
Joint 4 Year PhD Training Programme

The Wellcome Trust Doctoral Training Centre in Antimicrobials and Antimicrobial Resistance is designed to train the next generation of multidisciplinary research scientists. The programme is a partnership between the Wellcome Trust, The University of Nottingham and the University of Birmingham, led by Professors Paul Williams (Nottingham) and Ian Henderson (Birmingham). It will incorporate our complementary multidisciplinary research strengths ranging from the laboratory to the clinic and will be centred on the Centre for Biomolecular Sciences at Nottingham and the Institute of Microbiology and Infection at Birmingham. Read more.

Course start date: October 2018
Number of studentships: 10 PhD scholarships are available each year until October 2019.
Interview dates: Two stage selection process
First stage: 18 Decmeber 2017
Second stage: 4 and 5 January 2018
Stipends and fees: Stipends (income tax free) will be at least £19,919 a year. Read more.
