Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff

Professor Louise Mullany and Dr. Gavin Brookes have been awarded funding to conduct innovative digital communications research with Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff in the University’s School of Chemistry. The LiPP team is analysing the digital communication of Professor Poliakoff’s world famous Periodic Table of Videos on the University’s Nottingham Science channel. Professor Mullany said, “this is a fantastic opportunity to produce some real innovation at the interface of Arts and Science at Nottingham. By combining our expertise with the globally-renowned video resources, we are able to bring brand new insights into how digital communication can be successfully maximized to large global audiences”.

Part of the project is also to work with The Schools of Physics and Computer Science, where the LiPP team are also analysing their respective You Tube channels, Sixty Symbols and Computerphile.
