Abstract:
It has been shown that ϕ^4-theory on quantum spacetimes triggers a new phenomenon called UV/IR mixing. In this talk, we study a general framework that tries to grasp new insights on this UV/IR mixing. A tentative unambiguous definition of the mixing will be discussed, as well as the computation of the two point function at one loop. This setting is then applied to some example. A brief introduction of noncommutative field theories will be provided. Finally, the possible physics application of the mixing are discussed, together with the intriguing question it raises: the deformation of the conservation of momenta, the ordering prescription, etc...
