Biography
Dr Anbarasu Lourdusamy obtained his PhD at the Anna University, India in 2001, focusing on implementing computational algorithms for parallel machines. Prior to his PhD, he completed BSc in Mathematics (1991) and MSc in Applied Mathematics (1993).
In 2000, he joined the supercomputing centre, Centre for Development Advanced Computing (CDAC), India, as a Member Technical Staff. Since 2002, he has been with Lilly Systems Biology Pte Ltd, Singapore as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. From October 2005, he worked as a Bioinformatics Researcher at the University of Camerino, Italy and then joined the King's college London as a Postdoctoral research worker in June 2007.
Dr Lourdusamy joined the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre, University of Nottingham, in 2012, where his research focuses on using multi-disciplinary approaches based on high-throughput genomics and statistical modelling to understand brain cancer.
