Clinical Research Facility

The NIHR Nottingham Clinical Research Facility is found on B Floor of the Medical School at the Queen's Medical Centre. It also has spaces in other hospitals. It is there to deliver world-class research in experimental medicine.

Across the hospitals there is over 2,000m2 of dedicated and purpose-built clinical research facilities. This is all staffed by experienced clinicians to support early phase research for adults and children. 

The facility is available for clinical trial hire. It's an ideal environment for patients and healthy volunteers to be screened and closely monitored during trials. This ensures patient safety and guarantees high quality data output.

The QMC space offers:

  • Four side rooms
  • Three beds on ward
  • Two labs
  • -80°C freezers
  • Secure archiving room
  • Sample tracking database
  • 12 lead ECG, Dash 2500, Syringe and Infusion pumps
  • Micro-loop Spirometer
