Nottingham Education Centre

The Education Centre is situated in modern, well-equipped accommodation in the Queen's Medical Centre, adjacent to the University's School of Medicine and University Hospital. Additional education sites are on the Nottingham City Hospital campus and at Duncan MacMillan House. Practical experience is offered in a variety of hospital and community settings in Nottingham, including some specialist units, which have an international reputation for their work. All students have access to a wide range of excellent computer and library facilities with 24 hour access.

Nottingham is a cosmopolitan city, combining the best of old and new, and is a great place in which to live and study. The city centre is only a short bus or bike ride from the University.

The modern shopping centres on pretty pedestrianised streets offer everything from designer boutiques to High Street favourites. The Royal Concert Hall attracts well-known names from the classical and pop worlds. There are two theatres, including the lovely restored 18th century Theatre Royal, which showcases top-class theatre, ballet and opera. Film buffs can enjoy varied viewing at a number of multi-screen and arts cinemas, and many of these offer students discounts. Nightclubs include the famous Rock City.

Sports and leisure facilities are numerous, both on the university campus and elsewhere across the city. In fact the Nottingham area has more sports facilities per head of population than anywhere else in Europe, including the National Watersports Centre.

Transport links are good: the M1 is nearby, trains travel to London in 1 hour 47 minutes and the East Midlands airport offers budget flights.
