Pharmacy in Malaysia

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus welcomed its first students to a new 101-acre Campus, based at Semenyih, 30 km from Kuala Lumpur, in 2005. It is the first purpose built campus of a British university outside the UK.  Occupying a scenic position overlooking green hills, the campus is a self-contained and self-sufficient neighbourhood village in a garden environment. It combines a high quality living environment with state of the art learning and teaching facilities.

The Campus is a full and integral part of The University of Nottingham, UK and was the first ever branch campus of a UK University abroad, earning the University the distinction of the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the field of international achievement, the first award of its kind to an academic institution.

The School of Pharmacy at the Malaysia Campus offers the MPharm degree as a 2+2 programme, enabling you to spend two years in Malaysia followed by two years in Nottingham.  This programme is fully accredited by the Royal Pharamceutical Society of Great Britain.  Graduates receive the same UK-accredited degree as students graduating from the four-year Nottingham MPharm, and are therefore qualified to register as a pharmacist in the UK, after successful completion of the pre-registration training year.

The School of Pharmacy in Malaysia also offers a full range of research degree programmes for students who already have an undergraduate qualification.  These range from the one-year Masters by Research (MRes) to three and four-year PhD programmes.
