Current Research

My main research area is in the field of granular dynamics. Granular materials areubiquitous in nature and the ability to control the behaviour of grains and powdersis of importance to many industrial processes. We are studying a range of granularbehaviours, including segregation of granular mixtures, the statistics of granulargasses and fluid-particle systems. Our research combines experimental studieswith numerical and analytic approaches to model granular behaviour.
