The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 17:00 on October 17th.
An international conference covering self-assembly and self-organisation at surfaces in a variety of diverse systems and environments. From the self-assembly of organic molecules under ultrahigh vacuum conditions, through pattern formation in nanofluids and nanostructured thin films, to complexity driven by bioorganic interactions, SSSI-2008 spans a broad range of topical multidisciplinary themes.
The conference has been organised by:
- Ulli Steiner (University of Cambridge)
- Uwe Thiele, (University of Loughborough and Max-Planck-Institut für Physik komplexer Systeme),
- Philip Moriarty (University of Nottingham)
The registration fee for the conference including the cost of meals and accommodation in Selwyn College is £425 (£325 for students). If accommodation and meals at Selwyn College are not required the registration fee is £195 (£95 for students). Those who wish to attend should complete the online registration form (deadline: Oct. 15 2008). Abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations should also be submitted online (if your abstract is not accepted for oral presentation you will be allocated a poster presentation). Note that numbers are limited.
The conference will formally start at 09:00 on Wednesday Dec. 10 and end at 17:00 on Friday Dec. 12. Please note that the £425 (£325 for students) registration fee covers accomodation (and all meals) in Selwyn Hall for the nights of Tuesday Dec.9, Wednesday Dec. 10, and Thursday Dec. 11. Accomodation in Selwyn Hall will be available on the night of Friday Dec. 12 but will need to be booked and will incur an additional charge.
