About Us

Welcome from the Head of School

Caitlin Milazzo

The School of Politics and International Relations is a large and diverse school that covers many of the subject areas in contemporary politics. The expertise of our academics ranges across international relations, British politics, comparative politics and political theory.

Our staff have international reputations and we have a particular strengths in international relations and the study of the Asia-Pacific region. Politics is taught and studied at all three of Nottingham's campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia.

We are proud of our excellent teaching reputation and our commitment to students at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels. We are committed to offering our students a range of exciting work placements and opportunities to participate in research that is on the cutting edge of the discipline.

As well as offering a range of degree programmes, we are also a school committed to outstanding research. We organise our research around centres and institutes and undertake work that is designed to have a real impact on the wider world. Our scholars publish their research in the very best journals and with the top publishers.

We are also proud of our very active student Politics Society, which plays a full role in the life of the school. The society regularly holds a variety of events ranging from guest speakers, visits to Westminster, regular socials, and trips.

Our website has lots of information about the school and our courses, but if you have any questions please contact us.
