Current Research
So far, my main work has focused on cognitive and brain functioning in bilingualism. In my PhD, I worked with EEG, speech and behavioural response data. I'm also keen on Open Science/Open Scholarship, as a side line of research and as an approach that I take towards all the scientific work and teaching I do. In Nottingham, I will be working under the guidance of Dr. JeYoung Jung, on a project related to brain structure and functioning and (semantic) congition in patients with frontotemporal dementia. My future-career interests consist in combining aging and cognitive decline research with bilingual brain functioning, to answer questions about preserving cognitive functioning throughout the lifespan.
