Aims

The systematic review that will be conducted as part of this award will support the development of an NIHR Programme Grant application to develop and evaluate an online intervention to improve self-efficacy and sustain behavioural changes about exercise (eg. increase exercise levels, promote better exercise patterns) as a way of improving the mental health and wellbeing of young vulnerable people. 

The online intervention would be relevant to: 

  1. Young people (14-24 years) with mental health, behavioural and neuro-developmental disorders including first-episode psychosis, eating disorders, learning disabilities and sleep problems
  2. Health professionals involved in the care of these young people 
  3. Carers and peers of young people with mental health, behavioural and neuro-developmental disorders
