Description

Come and meet us at our joint reception with Nottingham's Institute for Medieval Research at the International Medieval Congress in Leeds

The network is based in the Department of History and Institute of Medieval Research. As well as bringing together
Nottingham medievalists with an interest in religious dissent, we hope to:

  • Hold an annual public lecture and master class featuring scholars who are eminent in their field. This follows the success
of this year’s event with Professor R. I. Moore (pictured).
  • Provide a specialist environment for our PhD students, and a reputation which will attract funding for doctoral and postdoctoral
    study.
  • Establish a formal network within which scholars of heresy internationally can keep others informed about their own work,
announce their own publications and events, and seek research partnerships. This will begin with a dedicated e-mail list.
  • Provide an institutional focus for new conferences and colloquia.
We are keen to have input from other heresy scholars and from the existing informal networks
