Nottingham professor wins national charity 'thank you' award

Professor Lelia Duley of Nottingham University has been honoured by Bliss, the premature and sick baby charity, for her work to improve the early care given to babies born very prematurely (before 32 weeks gestation) and their families.

Clinical trial confirms safety of inducing mothers aged 35 and over to avoid stillbirth and other complications

Description
A large clinical trial to assess the benefits or otherwise of inducing labour in pregnant women of 35 years or older has found there was no significant effect on the rate of caesarean sections and no adverse effect on the mother and newborn baby.

NURTURE announces a new partnership with the University and the ARP Group

Description
NURTURE, the University of Nottingham's infertility treatment unit, has entered into a new partnership between the University and the ARP (Academic Reproductive Partnership) group, the largest single provider of assisted conception in the UK. The partnership is part of NURTURE's plan to further develop its services and move to a new 1300m2 purpose built facility.
