Current Research

The main focus of my research is in respiratory infection, particularly cystic fibrosis. Areas of specific interest are quorum sensing, biofilm diversity and host response to infection. I also have interests in lung cancer and respiratory epidemiology.

We have recently completed recruitment for a £850, 000 MRC funded project, exploring the clinical potential of quorum sensing modules as novel biomarkers for pseudomonas aeriginosa infection in cystic fibrosis.
