Antimicrobials and Antimicrobial Resistance

A global challenge: developing new ways of fighting infection when antibiotics fail. The emergence and spread of microbes resistant to antibiotics is one of the greatest global threats to human and animal health. Our research into antimicrobial resistance will help develop new drugs, vaccines and biological and biomaterials, addressing the world’s urgent need to discover novel ways to combat bacterial infection and also protect us against viruses, fungi and parasites.
