Professor Philip Bath reappointed as NIHR Senior Investigator

 

The School of Medicine is pleased to announce that Professor Philip Bath has been re-appointed as an NIHR Senior Investigator.

Senior Investigators are the NIHR’s pre-eminent researchers and represent the UK's most outstanding leaders of clinical and applied health and social care research.

The reappointment provides a further four years' of funding from the 9th NIHR Senior Investigator competition which is worth £15k pa to the Principal Investigator directly, and £75k pa to the NUH Trust starting April 2016.

Professor Bath is a world-leading expert in stroke medicine and Head of the Division of Clinical Neuroscience at the School of Medicine. In February he was also awarded the William M. Feinberg Award for Excellence in Clinical Stroke by the American Stroke Association at the International Stroke Conference 2016.
