Trampoline club spring to BUCS success

Description
Earlier this month, University of Nottingham Trampolining Club took a small team of down to Warwick to compete at the 2024 BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) Trampoline and DMT Championships. The club delivered fantastic efforts and were rewarded with plenty of high placing finishes.

The start of March saw our cycling athletes take to the track at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales in Newport to compete at the 2024 BUCS Track Cycling Championships. The University of Nottingham Cycling Club headed to the event hoping to make their mark across the weekend of competition.

Green and Gold achievements celebrated at Mo Awards 2024

University of Nottingham were shortlisted for several awards at the 2024 Movember Awards, hosted on Thursday 22nd July at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney). Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.

Scholar In Focus: Owen Caputo

Description
After reaching the BUCS Championship final twelve months ago, the University of Men's Lacrosse first team are looking to make another run at the title and are bolstered this year by the addition of sport scholar Owen Caputo. Caputo joined the University of Nottingham last September, just months removed from competing at the very highest level of NCAA lacrosse in America for Duke University. He finished his time at Division I level with 56 goals and 38 assists for 94 points.

University of Nottingham's Karate team dominant after long awaited return to BUCS National Championship

The Annual British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) National Championships was recently held over the weekend of the 23th-25th February 2024. The University of Nottingham secured 35 medals at the Championships, including 7 gold medals (6 belonging to Nottingham's Karate team).Each year the University of Nottingham takes over 100 student athletes to Sheffield for 3-days of top-class sport. The athletes compete across 3 venues: English Institute of Sport, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, and the Climbing Works

The 2024 BUCS Judo Championships took place at the University of Wolverhampton on the weekend of the 17th and 18th February. With hugely successful performances in the 2023 championships, the University of Nottingham went into the weekend hoping to replicate these achievements and deliver another weekend of high level performances.
