Member notice: David Ross Sports Village Fitness Suite works

Due to an unexpected issue with the fitness suite floor, we are afraid that the second floor fitness suite will need to undergo essential maintenance over the period from the 9.30am on Tuesday 1 August up to and including Sunday 10 September, and therefore there will be no access to this space over that time.

We will be relocating the gym equipment to the High Performance Zone on the ground floor, to ensure members still have access to the equipment, and this will be available from 6.30am on Thursday 3 August and until the fitness suite re-opens in September.

Unfortunately there will be a small window from Tuesday 1 August to Wednesday 2 August where both the second floor Fitness Suite and the High Performance Zone will be closed, as we transfer the equipment over. Customers are advised to make use of the Jubilee Sports Centre Fitness Suite at this time.

For all public and summer promotion members, we have arranged for them to have access to Jubilee Sports Centre’s fitness suite for the duration of the works from Tuesday 1 August to Sunday 10 September, in addition to access to the High Performance Zone.

We have agreed special parking conditions for these members - please collect a parking pass from the Jubilee Sports Centre reception upon your first visit. This parking pass will be valid through to 10 September and directs members to the authorised parking areas.

Please remember that all other categories of membership already have inclusive access to Jubilee fitness suite.

We will endeavour to keep customers informed of the progress of the works, and to confirm the dates when the equipment will be transferred back to the second floor fitness suite to enable it to re-open.

We apologise for any inconvenience and assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to repair the floor and to re-open the fitness suite as soon as is practically possible.

Additional improvements

A reminder of additional improvements taking place across our sports facilities during August and September;

  • Sutton Bonington Fitness Suite upgrades: We're pleased to be installing several new items of the latest fitness equipment at our Sutton Bonington Sports Centre. During installation on Monday 24 July, please be aware that certain sections of the fitness suite will be unavailable for short periods of time. For more information, please click here

  • Sutton Bonington and Jubilee Sports Centre squash court upgrades: As part of significant improvements to our squash facilities, we are installing glass walls to the courts and glass balustrades along the viewing galleries. Our Sutton Bonington courts will be closed from 4 August 2017 - 30 September 2017 and our Jubilee court from 22 July 2017 to 30 September 2017.  For more information, please click here
