The University of Nottingham is excited to announce that the National Badminton League is back! Starting with a Headliner fixture at David Ross Sports Village on Monday 4th of December, the returning league will consist of six teams who will take the courts on one exhilarating Monday night a month throughout the season.

The National Badminton League is the first ever professional badminton league held in the UK, with the University of Nottingham being one of the six teams across the country fighting for the title of 2023/24 champions. Nottingham’s squad consists of 8 players, who are ready to battle it out against Bath, Loughborough, High Wycombe, MK, and Wimbledon across the season, with the first match-up for the #GreenandGold set to be against High Wycombe in front of a packed crowd.

This league fixture will take place at the start of the first full week of December, as Nottingham takes on High Wycombe in the next instalment of our award-winning Headliner series supported by Red Bull. Get excited to cheer on returning Nottingham favourites and former European University Championship gold medallists Johnnie Torjussen and Sian Kelly, as well as current scholars Kirby Ngan and Harry Goode who will bring their astounding skills to the court.

Being crowned champions of the league in 2017, the University of Nottingham has pedigree in the competition and will be looking to replicate the success of the #GreenandGold squad that played in the previous iteration of the tournament.
