As an undergraduate student, you'll be allocated a peer mentor to support you

Peer mentoring and support

Throughout your time with us you'll have access to a peer mentor who will offer helpful guidance and advice. Peer mentoring and support will help you explore the topics covered during your degree with another student. It's a great way to form friendships and develop a wider support network.

Becoming a peer mentor

As you progress through your time with us, you will have many opportunities to become involved in wider roles for your course, school, faculty, and the university. Depending on your course, there are also opportunities with professional bodies, such the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators (BASRaT) for sports rehabilitation and the Chartered Society (CSP) for physiotherapy. You could also become a peer mentor yourself.

These opportunities will give you the chance to support others, share your experiences and knowledge, provide feedback to help enable future development and add invaluable experiences. The skills you learn from this type of role are also desirable when seeking future employment.

We will be trying a new pilot this year to pair mentors with mentees based on their hobbies. If you would like to be considered in this pilot, please tell us about your hobbies in the form below:
