The Clean Technology Group has a long history. It was founded more than 40 years ago by Professor JJ Turner FRS. The group adopted its present form in 1994. Its research interests span a wide range of topics linked by the themes of green chemistry spectroscopy and alternative solvents, particularly supercritical fluids.
The group is led jointly by Professors M Poliakoff CBE FRS, S M Howdle and M W George. It has strong links to researchers across the University but particularly those involved in the DICE project
Detailed descriptions of current research can be found on the home pages of Martyn Poliakoff, Steve Howdle and Mike George.
We always welcome enquiries from prospective PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Please email the leader whose work is of most interest to you.
