Nottingham is a multi campus university, and each campus has its own distinct character and identity. We welcome visitors at any time of year, whether you would like to visit the University on an official open day or would prefer to take advantage of our open campus policy.
If you aren't able to attend any of our organised open or visit days and you would like to visit Sutton Bonington Campus, Jubilee Campus or the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, please contact the Enquiry Centre on +44 (0)115 951 5559.
Our 2017 open days will take place on:
- Friday 30th June
- Saturday 1st July
- Friday 15th September
- Saturday 16th September
Mini open days
Mini open days take place on selected Wednesdays during the autumn term.
In addition, students who are offered a place will be invited to a visit day between November and April.
The University hosts additional events for undergraduate students, including summer schools, masterclasses and taster days.
Those living close to Nottingham may be able to participate in outreach events and activities.
Many of the University academic schools offer their own visit days for offer holders, which may be linked to formal or informal interviews – these are known as UCAS visit days.
Visits to individual schools and faculties
Nursing open days
The School of Health Sciences hold nursing specific open days at our Nottingham and Derby centres. If you wish to attend one of the nursing open days then you must book your place in advance. You should attend at the centre that runs the course you are interested in.
Graduate entry medicine open days
There are specific graduate entry medicine open days at the Royal Derby Hospital Centre in May and October. To attend, you must book your place in advance.
If you would like to visit a particular school* or Hall of Residence you should make arrangements in advance directly with the school or hall manager.
However we do recommend attending one of our open days.
* Please note: If you apply to the Medical School and receive an offer you will be invited to one of its subject specific open days.
If you are unable to attend an organised event, the University has an open campus policy which means you and your guests are welcome to visit the University at any time; to help with this, self-guided tour booklets (pdf) are available from the reception of the Trent Building.
Please be aware that while you are welcome to look around the departments at any time, it is not usually possible to arrange meetings with members of staff or current students outside the designated open days and visit days. Exceptions may be made in the case of prospective students currently living abroad.
Visits from schools and colleges
Each year we welcome school and college groups on to University Park Campus for general visits. We can offer welcome talks, guided tours and individual programmes tailored to suit the needs of each school.
For further information on the wide variety of activities available for school groups, please visit the schools and colleges liaison section.
