The NHS England long term workforce plan (2023) details a target of 3,000 clinicians starting in advanced practice pathways annually from 2023/24, increasing by 46% to 5,000 by 2028/29. Supporting the plan’s long-term ambition, of over 6,300 clinicians starting advanced practice pathways each year by 2031/32, requires strategic advanced practice workforce planning.

This webinar is designed to support attendees in understanding the complexity of strategic workforce planning for advanced practice across healthcare systems.  Providing an overview of the key themes along with the interface between higher education institutions and organisations including core curricula, portfolio supervision, and progress meetings.

The university's Employment Engagement Team will also provide an overview of the university's Advanced Clinical Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship.
