The HEA has announced details of the Teaching Development Grant schemes for 2012-13:
http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/tdg
The themes for this year are Assessment and Feedback and Flexible Learning. 75% of the funds are available for these themes, with 25% open for any innovation in learning and teaching development. Student engagement in project development and management is seen as being particularly important.

http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/tdg/collaborative

Application forms and guidelines are available from the HEA website when the call for each grant opens.
UNMC and UNNC
The HEA have confirmed that activities based at UNMC and UNNC are eligible provided that “the resource you produce would be useful to other institutions supporting UK HE outside of the UK”. The guidance also notes that “You would, however, need to demonstrate that you are providing the same level of support and experience as you do for students studying at the UK branch of the institution. You might, for example, demonstrate how the resource would be of use to international staff and/or students in the UK.”
Matched funding from the University is required - this can take the shape of admin support, equipment etc. as appropriate to the project.
There is no limit on the number of applications from the University (although only one application per Department is acceptable in the Departmental scheme), and so there is no internal selection procedure. However, I’d be grateful if you would let Rachel Scudamore know of your intention to bid. She can offer comment on draft bids, and may be able to offer dissemination support for projects as appropriate.
