International league tables

In the latest global tables, The University of Nottingham was again confirmed as a world-class university. We are:

• ranked 9th in the UK by the established world rankings index published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2012
• in the Top 1 per cent of all universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings, with a ranking of 72nd in the world ─ an 17-place rise from two years before on the Times Higher-QS Rankings 

The institution is now firmly established within the world’s 100 best universities in both tables.

One of the top ten universities in the UK

This year The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2011 stated:

“Nottingham is the embodiment of the modern international university. It send its students across the world to work and study ─ some of them to its two overseas campuses in China and Malaysia ─ and recruits on a global stage with about a quarter of its students coming from abroad.”

Their 2012 league table ranks The University of Nottingham as 15th best British university overall.

The University of Nottingham was also runner up in The Sunday Times University of the Year competition for the year 2010.
