The University of Nottingham’s School of Pharmacy was established in 1925 and has an exceptional reputation. Nurturing a new generation of leaders in academia, industry and healthcare, the School was ranked first among pharmacy schools in the UK by the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, with 95% of our research judged to be of international quality and 35% world-leading. This result recognises the outstanding quality of the innovative and exciting research that is carried out in the School by a dedicated team of people.

We are one of the UK’s most respected pharmacy schools, enjoying a powerful multidisciplinary research infrastructure and outstanding industry partnerships.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include the £35m Centre for Biomolecular Sciences, the Boots Science Building and the Targeted Therapeutics Doctoral Training Centre – the first in the country, created with AstraZeneca and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Our partnership in the Nottingham Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre offers further scope for exciting multidisciplinary work.
