Geospatial Web Services Workshop 2008 | 16-17 June 2008 |
HOME Service-Oriented Software Research Network (SOSoRNET) and Centre for Geospatial Science, University of Nottingham would like to invite you to join us for a two day workshop on geospatial web services which will be held at the University of Nottingham. Participation in the workshop is free but limited to 50 people on first come registration basis. The key aims of this workshop are:
Organisations making presentations include CGS Nottingham, Ordnance Survey, ITC Netherlands, ESRI, University of Zurich, CASA UCL, CORILA Italy, e-Science Centre and the University of Cardiff. We have an excellent response for the workshop across all sectors of the community with academic, commercial and government persons registering. Though initially we planned for 50 participants, because of the huge response we got, we decided to expand to allow 100 participants. There will be a number of small commercial stands adjoining the lecture theatre and it has been extremely encouraging response from industry especially organisations such as Oracle, ERDAS/Leica, ROLTA, Comsine, Autodesk, Cadcorp, Snowflake , AIT etc. We are making arrangements for live web cast of the workshop talks and podcasts for the benefit of the wider GIS community, the links will become live from the workshop tab as they are taking place. This is a trial and we would appreciate any feedback you may have. Event is fully booked and registrations for the event is closed.
