Welcome and Introduction

This section contain histology laboratory protocols which are in daily use in our laboratories in Nottingham. At present there is an index of about 100 techniques which we will expand as time allows.

Nottingham is the home of the textbook Theory and Practice of Histological Techniques edited by J.D. Bancroft and A. Stevens. Churchill Livingstone. The fourth edition has just been published and was launched in 1996.

We would like to invite contributions to this web page and try to expand it. If you have a stain, histopathology method, or want to comment on a method you see here please email it to Jim Lowe . Full attribution of source will be made.

This section is now being generated using a great scripting language called Usertalk in a Macintosh application called Frontier so any changes should be easy...
