Egypt
record - workers & queen from Kantara, Suez, collected by
Issel, in Emery (1877b: 364) but apparently not listed in Emery (1925b:
101). Previously, we thought this might be the species illustrated by
Savigny (Audouin, J.-V. 1825-27: Plate 20
Fig 2) but now feel that was probably Camponotus cognatocompressus.
