& Agosti (1995) denote the types as previously identified as Monomorium nitidiventre (in
Collingwood, 1985). In their key M.
nitidiventre is separated as having the dorsum of alitrunk
without projecting hairs but the type worker (see the linked page)
clearly has erect hairs, albeit short but numerous. |
