Biography

I have been teaching and researching at higher education institutions in the UK and abroad since 1995. My key interests and expertise are in the Internationalisation of Higher Education, including internationalisation policy and practice, and philosophical and methodological approaches to internationalisation. I have launched and have chaired the Internationalisation of Higher Education Institutions webinar since 2007, with the primary aim of bringing together members of higher education institutions from around the globe in an open and inclusive space for discussion and reflections around the broad area of internationalisation of higher education.

I am a member of the Centre for International Education Research (CIER). I am currently serving on the University of Nottingham's UNESCO Chair Committee contributing to the work of the UNESCO Chair in International Education and Development. I'm also serving on the International Education Advisory Board at Morgan State University.

Since joining the University of Nottingham in 2010, I have taught on various programmes at the School of Education and CELE (Centre for English Language Education). I also act as a supervisor for PhD and EdD research.

I have an MA in English Language Teaching (MA ELT) from the University of Nottingham, UK, and an EdD (Doctor of Education) from the University of Bath, UK.
