Crystallography Service Manager, Faculty of Science
Dr Stephen Argent obtained a PhD on the topic of Supramolecular Coordination Chemistry at the Universities of Bristol and Sheffield. He obtained his MNatSci (Chem) at the University of Birmingham. He previously held positions as a Senior Research Fellow at the Universities of Nottingham and Warwick. He has been the manager of the Chemical Crystallography Service and lecturer in Solid State Chemistry at the University of Nottingham since 2019.

My current role is to assist and collaborate with researchers in the School of Chemistry with their work requiring single crystal and powder crystalline X-ray diffraction methods. My personal interest is in the self-assembly of metallo-supramolecular coordination molecules and materials.
I have previously worked in the reserch groups of Prof. Michael D. Ward (Sheffield and Warwick), Prof. Neil R. Champness (Nottingham), Prof. Martin Schröder (Nottingham) and Prof. Alexander J. Blake (Nottingham).
