Professor of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences
I am a Professor in the School of Economics at the University of Nottingham. Before joining Nottingham I was an assistant professor at Cambridge University and IMT Lucca, and a Max Weber post-doctoral fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. I am currently a research Fellow of CESifo Munich and Centro D'Agliano Milano.
My fields of specialization include International Trade, Macroeconomics and Economic Growth. My research focuses on two major lines: the first studies the effects of globalization on growth and on labor market outcomes, such as unemployment and income inequality. The second line of research zeros in on the role of innovation policy in promoting growth and development. I have published in top field international journals such as the Journal of International Economics, International Economic Review, Journal of the European Economic Association, and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
