I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and moved to Germany at the age of 21. I completed my undergraduate and master's studies in Economics at the University of Leipzig (Germany). Afterward, I obtained a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (Italy) and MSc in Finance from Wisconsin School of Business (USA). I worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Bonn from 2018 to 2024 (non-tenure track). Currently, I hold the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, specializing in macroeconomics and public economics.
