Since 2005 he has been focusing on advanced engineering and internal combustion research projects in collaboration with Ford Motor Company; work-in-progress covers a mixture of industrial-linked diesel projects, with analytical, computational and experimental work elements. Dr La Rocca is author/co-author of more than 28 papers published in international journals and conferences. He is also a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers His academic and professional interests includes: Internal Combustion Engines, Combustion Systems, Fuel Economy and Emissions, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Numerical methods, Crystal growth, Crystal morphology and Heat Transfer
