Biography
Dr Jack C Chaplin is Assistant Professor in Manufacturing Systems at the University of Nottingham. His primary areas of research are digital and artificially intelligent manufacturing systems, and the control of complex, flexible, and agile manufacturing systems. He has over 30 publications in the manufacturing area, and currently participates in the Made Smarter Innovation Research Centre for Connected Factories (EP/V062123/1) , and manages the EPSRC Elastic Manufacturing systems projects (EP/T024429/1). He has a focus on skills and training, collaborating in the MSCA ITN DiManD (814078) training network, and developing the Erasmus+ Digit-T (2017-1-UK01-KA202-036807) training platform.
