Biography

Ramy was graduated as a pharmacist with a Bachelor degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 2010. He was then assigned as a Teaching assistant at the faculty of Pharmacy, Ain shams University in 2011. Ramy has then got a Master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences from his home institution in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire, UK in 2016 after which he was promoted to act as an assistant lecturer of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy in his home institution. Ramy was granted a Short-Term Fellowship (STF) funded project by the Science, Technology and Development Fund (STDF) in Egypt to support his Master's research in which he acted as the Principle Investigator (PI) of the project.

Ramy was awarded a Newton-Mosharafa funded scholarship to pursue his PhD studies st the school of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham in UK under supervision of Dr Cynthia Bosquillon, Dr Snow Stolnik and Dr Giuseppe Mantovani, and gained his PhD degree in 2024. Ramy then started his current role as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Molecular Therapeutics and Formulation (MTF) division, University of Nottingham on a lung drug delivery project in collaboration with pharmaceutical industrial partners in Nottingham.

Ramy's research is mainly focused on development of inhalable nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems for targeted treatment of various lung diseases.
