Your Residential Experience Team (ResX) is available 7 days a week, from the day you arrive, until the day you leave, to support you to settle and thrive in your new home, and the fantastic community that you will belong to as a student at the University of Nottingham.

Sutton Bonington and Kegworth villages are located nearby. The town of Loughborough is located seven miles away and offers a vibrant student community with shops, markets, restaurants, cinemas and recreational facilities.

Important information

Contract details

To finalise your offer you will be required to read and accept a licence/tenancy agreement and terms and conditions from your accommodation provider Campus Living Villages.

We highly recommend that you read this along with a parent, guardian, carer, or school representative, as this is a legally binding document.

You will be accepting liability for the full tenancy length of 44 weeks a year for undergraduates, or 51 weeks a year for postgraduates, including vacation periods. Once you have moved in you are liable to pay for the duration of your licence period.

Veterinary medicine students: Starting your course in April 2025? You can apply for accommodation online from 14 October 2024. 

Payment information

The deadline for term one payment and damage deposits will be detailed in your accommodation offer and is due before your contract starts. If you will require a payment plan, are dependant upon Student Loan Funding, or have not secured your visa, you will be able to discuss arrangements direct with your accommodation provider Campus Living Villages.

Student route visa applications

Students who are reliant upon securing a Student route visa should not make any payment for their accommodation until the visa has been granted. If a visa has not been secured by the first payment date, please contact your provider to request a deferred payment date. Damage deposits required to secure your accommodation will still need to be paid.

Can I upgrade or change rooms after I arrive?

If you wish to change your room after you have checked in, please speak to a member of the onsite team at Campus Living Villages reception. If there are other rooms available, they will be happy to agree a room move.*

Is the accommodation just for first years or am I able to continue living there throughout my time at university?

You are able to continue living at Bonington Student Village, no matter which academic year you are in. You can rebook for the following year as soon as you arrive for your current booking and there are even special discounts available for early-bird rebookers.

Can I choose how many people I want I share a flat with?

Yes. The accommodation offers flexible options to suit all social preferences, from self-contained studios, or shared apartments with up to 10 bedrooms. Subject to availability, the team will try their best to meet your requirements.

Can I choose which block/flat I am allocated to?

Depending on availability, the team will try their best to allocate you to your specific room choice, including choice of block, floor level, etc.

Can I move in early?

You can move in before your contract starts, anything from one day to several months with low summer nightly rates.

How can I make friends before I arrive?

Campus Living Villages has created closed Facebook groups where they share important information, including upcoming events and advice. It is a great way for you to find and chat with your new neighbours before you arrive. Once you book, you will receive information on how to join these groups.
