Dagfa House is just a five-minute walk to University Park Campus and a 10-minute walk to the lively town of Beeston. The property has standard and en-suite rooms with shared kitchen and living areas for between five to 12 students, plus self-contained studios with your own kitchen. If you select our standard room option you will share a bathroom with one other student.

Your Residential Experience Team (ResX) is available 7 days a week, from the day you arrive, until the day you leave, to support you to settle and thrive in your new home, and the fantastic community that you will belong to as a student at the University of Nottingham.

Important information

Contract details

To finalise your offer, you will be required to read and accept a licence/tenancy agreement and terms and conditions from your accommodation provider University of Nottingham.

We highly recommend that you read this along with a parent, guardian, carer, or school representative, as this is a legally binding document.

You will be accepting liability for the full tenancy length of 44 weeks for undergraduates, or 51 weeks for postgraduates.  Once you have moved in you are liable to pay for the duration of your licence period.

Payment information

Your first payment is due prior to arrival and should be paid via the NottinghamHub (University of Nottingham Student Hub). Undergraduate students who are reliant on a Student Finance England maintenance loan to pay their accommodation fees will be able to make a minimum payment of £250 payment. The £250 minimum payment will then be deducted from your first period instalment with the balance due on 7 October 2024.

Student maintenance loans and grants are paid to you directly by the Student Loans Company into your bank account (as per the details you have provided them). The Student Loans Company will provide you with a Payment Timetable so that you know what amount you will receive into your bank account each term.

If you will require a payment plan because you wish to amend your instalments to three equal amounts or you are self-funding and wish to pay by monthly instalment, you will need to email Student Account Services on sas@nottingham.ac.uk

Student route visa applications

Students who are reliant upon securing a Student route visa should not make any payment for their accommodation until the visa has been granted. If a visa has not been secured by the first payment date, please email Student Account Services on sas@nottingham.ac.uk

What security is provided on the self-catered sites?

With 24-hour security and secure sites we make sure your environment is safe and secure.

Is bedding provided in the self-catered sites?

You will need to bring your own bedding and covers or pre order a bedding pack with your provider.

What is the cleaning provision at Dagfa House?

Students are responsible for the cleaning of all areas. 

Cleaning supplies will be provided with Mop buckets, Vacuums and dustpan and brush – no cleaning chemicals will be supplied. 

Will there be any works close to or in my hall?

There may be some halls maintenance required in halls, any disruption will be kept to a minimum.

When will I be able to move in?

You will book your arrival date and time during your accommodation induction, this is normally completed before your arrival. You will be emailed when you need to complete this induction.

Arrivals for 2024/25 will be Friday 20 & Saturday 21 September 2024

Does my room come with a fridge?

The majority of our catered halls and rooms do not come with a fridge in the room.  You can access a shared fridge in the pantry on your floor. 

Some of our halls do provide small fridges in your room, these are;

  • Cripps Hall
  • Cavendish Hall
  • Nightingale Hall
  • Derby Hall

If you require a fridge in your room for the storage of medicine or for a specific need, you can make a request through our access and individual requirements page.
