Jo Deal is Smartsheet's Chief People Officer. She is responsible for the company's People team. 

Jo is an experienced HR executive with over 20 years of expertise aligning talent strategies to business performance at global technology companies, including GoTo, formerly known as LogMeIn; Citrix; and Informatica. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer for GoTo, where she was responsible for all aspects of human resources and led the company's people and culture strategy through significant change and business milestones. 

She has a BA in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham and earned her postgraduate HR qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the UK. Jo lives in the California Bay Area with her family and enjoys travel, music, football, and supporting her kids' sporting passions. 

Lauren Paup

Lauren Paup

Lauren Paup is the Global Early Career Programme Manager at Smartsheet, where she has been a key contributor since 2017. 

She began her journey as a Recruiting Coordinator, supporting the company during its pivotal transition from a privately traded company to its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2018. In 2019, Lauren advanced to the role of Associate Recruiter, where she spent two years honing her talent acquisition expertise. Recognising her passion for developing emerging talent, she embraced a unique opportunity in 2020 to become Smartsheet's first University Programmes Manager, leading a small team in the design and execution of programmes aimed at fostering early career growth.
