Join us for the Eastwood Premier of Nottinghamshire born screenwriter William Ivory’s adaptation of D.H. Lawrence’s novels The Rainbow (1915) and Women in Love (1920), focusing on the lives of two sisters as they struggle with love, passion and commitment in the build-up to WWI. Originally intended to be published as one book, William Ivory took Lawrence’s original vision and combined the two stories into a dramatisation for BBC4's ‘Modern Love’ season. The programme features a wealth of talented British actors including Rosamund Pike, Rachael Stirlin, Rory Kinnear and Joseph Mawle.
Following the screening there will be the unique opportunity to take part in a Questions and Answers session with the screenwriter and D.H. Lawrence Festival Patron, William Ivory. The event will be hosted by fellow Festival Patron and long standing BBC Radio Nottingham and East Midland’s Today reporter John Holmes.
