PhD student Martin Thorley has won a Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCKF) PhD Fellowship.

Martin was one of only 13 recipients selected from Europe as a whole, all of which will receive full funding for the final year of their PhD research.

CCKF grants are amongst the most prestigious in the field of Chinese studies. The CCKF funds "research projects in the humanities and social sciences that can shed new light on Chinese culture and society, as well as engage in international cooperation and exchange".
