Panel at the Soceity for Ethnomusicology Annual Conference, Indiana University 

Dr Lonán Ó Briain chaired a panel at the Society for Ethnomusicology Annual Conference based on his forthcoming edited volume on music, media and technology in the Asia Pacific (Bloomsbury 2021). Other speakers on the panel included former postdoctoral fellow at the University of Nottingham, Dr Min Yen Ong. The edited volume will also include a chapter by ARI member and co-director of the Centre for Contemporary East Asian Cultural Studies at Nottingham, Dr Hongwei Bao.

Research Seminar on Cultural History of Vietnamese Radio at University of California, Berkeley

In October, Dr Lonán Ó Briain presented a research seminar at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, University of California, Berkeley, on his forthcoming monograph, Voices of Vietnam: A Century of Radio, Red Songs, and Revolution.
